Maharashtra government and Google have signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to set up an AI Center of Excellence (CoE) in Nagpur this year. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has given this information by sharing a post on Instagram.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis informed that Google Vice President Oliver Parker and the Maharashtra government have decided to set up an AI Center of Excellence in Nagpur. Under this, Google and the Maharashtra government signed the MoU.
The Chief Minister wrote, “It was a great pleasure to meet the team of Global Generative AI GTM, Google’s Vice President Oliver Parker and senior Google officials in Mumbai this morning. We discussed the progress of the Google AI MoU signed with the Maharashtra Government and decided to set a date this year for setting up the AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Nagpur.”
“Google shared information about various projects. They also expressed their commitment to deep technology and investment in the AI sector across India with special focus on Maharashtra. Also, discussed ways to further enhance cooperation with the state government,” the Chief Minister wrote on X.
