The Mumbai Police confirmed on Thursday that Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at around 2:30 AM at his Bandra home. They believe the attacker may have been inside already, as CCTV footage from earlier showed no one entering the housing society. Additionally, a female member of his team was also stabbed and hospitalized, but her condition is stable, according to the police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam spoke to the media, saying, “We received information at around 3 AM that actor Saif Ali Khan had been attacked at his home. A police team, including senior officials, quickly arrived at the scene. He was then admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.”
Police sources informed the media that there is a duct in Saif Ali Khan’s home that opens into his bedroom, and they believe the suspect may have entered through this route. At least eight police teams have been formed to apprehend the attacker and investigate the incident thoroughly. Authorities also suspect that the attacker was already inside Saif Ali Khan’s housing society.
Sources say that renovation work was underway in Saif Ali Khan’s housing society, and the labourers involved have been questioned by the Mumbai Police. Additionally, five members of Saif’s staff are being interrogated for further details. The police also noted that the security guard did not see anyone entering the society.
