Students who finished their D. Pharm course in the 2023-24 academic session can now feel relieved as the requirement for the ‘exit’ exam has been postponed. This delay had previously held up license registration, but with the exam now deferred, the process has resumed, offering much-needed relief to students. Moreover, the registration fee has been cut in half.
The introduction of the exit exam earlier this year led to delays, as students were required to provide exam certificates for license registration. Without these certificates, they were unable to move forward with the process.
The exit exam, which was previously required to obtain degree certificates and licenses for operating medicine shops, has been postponed for this year. As a result, license registration will continue without the exam for the time being. Thanks to intervention by the Maharashtra State Pharmaceutical Business Council, the exit exam requirement has been temporarily lifted. Registration officially began on Wednesday.
