The Social Security Branch of the Nagpur Crime Branch raided Bitz Unisex Salon in Byramji Town, Gondwana Chowk, on January 17, and exposed a prostitution racket operating under the guise of a massage parlor.
Bhavesh Udaysing Gedam (29), a resident of Shashikant Housing Society, Gittikhadan, was apprehended for allegedly luring women with promises of financial gains and coercing them into prostitution. During the raid, two women were rescued, and ?39,610 in cash was seized as evidence.
A case has been registered at Sadar Police Station under BNS Section 143(3) and Sections 4, 5, and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
