A man died in a huge blast at an Ordnance Factory Bhandara this morning. The explosion took place around 10:30 am in the LTP section of the factory in Bhandara district, Maharashtra, as confirmed by District Collector Sanjay Kolte. Firefighters and medical teams are at the site working to manage the situation.
So far, two people have been rescued, and it’s feared that 10 others are still trapped. The explosion caused a roof to collapse, and rescue teams continue to search for survivors.
Emergency responders are on-site, and the situation is ongoing. While authorities have not confirmed the exact number of casualties, local sources indicate that the blast has caused significant damage.
According to media reports, following the blast at the Ordnance Factory in Jawahar Nagar, Bhandara, firefighters and ambulances have been deployed to the site, and a rescue operation is underway. “A roof collapsed, and JCBs are being used to remove the debris,” a district official said.
