10 National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) team members including Chairman and educational institution officials including JNU professor arrested.
While investigating the case, the CBI conducted raids at 20 places across the country, including Chennai, Bengaluru, Vijayawada, Palamu, Sambalpur, Bhopal, Bilaspur, Gautam Buddha Nagar and New Delhi. During this, Rs 37 lakh cash, 6 laptops, iPhone 16 Pro, gold coin and many other incriminating documents were seized.

The CBI has registered a case against the accused under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and the IPC. Other accused involved in the case are also being investigated and more arrests may be made soon.
