Passengers on a private bus from Nagpur to Raipur were robbed at gunpoint shortly after the journey began. The attackers, armed with firearms, targeted mostly workers returning home.
The incident took place on a Jagirdar Travels bus, which runs between Nagpur and Bilaspur, Madhya Pradesh. On Monday around 11 AM, the bus left Nagpur for Bilaspur with several passengers on board.
A few hours after leaving Nagpur, four masked men stopped the bus, forced their way inside, and robbed the passengers. Most of the victims were migrant workers returning from Hyderabad. The armed men not only stole cash and valuables but also assaulted some passengers.
The robbery took place on Monday night in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. The victims have filed a complaint with the local police, and an investigation is in progress.
