Nagpur: A powerful explosion at a gunpowder factory in Kotwalbaddi, Katol taluka, on Saturday triggered a large-scale fire that quickly spread to the nearby forest. Initial reports indicate that multiple workers may have lost their lives in the incident.
The intensity of the blast sent thick plumes of smoke into the sky, with flames engulfing the surrounding area, raising concerns about further damage. Emergency response teams have been deployed to the site to control the blaze and assess the casualties.
Salil Deshmukh, a leader from the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar faction), has rushed to the scene. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the explosion and the extent of the destruction.
