A productive meeting was convened between Dr. Vipin Itankar, Collector, Nagpur, and Chairman of MIHAN India Ltd. (MIL), and a delegation of heads from various organizations operating in MIHAN led by Ashish Kale, President of the Association for Industrial Development (AID). The primary focus of the meeting was to formulate strategies for promoting MIHAN across Maharashtra and India, while simultaneously reviewing and resolving operational challenges and policy issues faced by industries within the MIHAN SEZ.
Key operational concerns were deliberated upon, with potential solutions explored. During the meeting, Dr. Itankar proposed the formation of a task force to drive MIHAN’s promotion and expedite the resolution of issues faced by corporate entities. This suggestion was accepted by AID, which promptly announced the formation of the task force. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for the upcoming week.
AID also recommended benchmarking MIHAN’s policies and infrastructure against those offered by other emerging and successful industrial hubs to ensure MIHAN remains competitive and attractive to investors.
Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, Secretary of AID, highlighted that the meeting marks a significant step towards fostering a more business-friendly environment in MIHAN, attracting new enterprises, and positioning Nagpur as a premier IT destination. He emphasized that the formation of the task force, coupled with the commitment from Collector Itankar, signifies a renewed focus on addressing existing challenges and unlocking MIHAN’s full potential.
