Around 5,020 people were booked for different traffic violations, including over 310 for drunken driving, across Nagpur on the occasion of Holi and its eve.
Out of 5,020 cases of traffic violations, 310 were related to drunken driving.
On Holi, traffic police personnel from ten zones caught 310 drivers for operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol, while 4,710 people were booked for other violations, such as not wearing helmets, riding triple-seat, etc.

The Nagpur traffic police had made elaborate arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents during Holi celebrations and deployed a large number of traffic cops to maintain law and order and prevent violations of traffic rules in the city.
