Due to curfew imposed in business areas of Nagpur on Monday evening due to riots, Nagpur’s trade is getting affected by Rs 200 to 250 crores per day, due to which Nagpur’s traders are worried. Nagpur Chamber of Commerce delegation led by its President Kailash Jogani met the Police Commissioner today and expressed concern over the business being closed for three days.
Police Commissioner Shri Ravinder Singhal said that curfew has been relaxed in some areas today and curfew will be kept in place in some sensitive areas for a few more days. Curfew has been completely lifted in Nandanvan Police Station Zone 4 and Kapilnagar Police Station Zone 5. He assured the traders that Nagpur’s trade will be normal as soon as possible and peace will be established in Nagpur again. The entire police administration is working diligently. The public and traders are also getting full cooperation.
The Chamber’s delegation included President Kailash Jogani, President of The Wholesale Cloth & Yarn Merchants Association, Gandhibagh, Nagpur, Narayan Toshniwal, Past President Govind Pasari, Vice President Pradip Jaju, Vice President Tarun Nirban, Secretary Vijay Jaiswal, Vasant Paliwal and Sanjay Pandey.
