Bollywood actor Sonu Sood expressed his gratitude to Max Hospital staff and fans for their prayers and support after his wife, Sonali Sood, and two family members survived a car accident on the Wardha Road Double-Decker Flyover in Nagpur on Monday night.
Taking to social media, Sood shared, “Dua mein badi takat hoti hai, and we have felt it once again. Thank you so much for all the prayers and heartfelt messages. We truly appreciate your support. Sonali and the other two family members are recovering well. Forever grateful for your love and kindness.”
The accident occurred when the MG Windsor EV, in which Sonali was traveling with her sister Sunita Pratik Salve (56) and nephew Siddharth Salve (28), crashed into a truck from behind while overtaking on the double-decker flyover under Sonegaon police station limits.
Siddharth was driving, with Sonali seated in the passenger seat and Sunita in the back. The impact severely damaged the bumper, bonnet, and headlamps of the vehicle. However, airbags deployed in time, preventing serious injuries. The three sustained minor injuries and were immediately rushed to Max Hospital in Mankapur, where they received medical aid and were later discharged.
The accident highlights the importance of road safety, especially on high-speed flyovers, and the role of airbags in saving lives.
