A truck carrying goods caught fire while in motion near Naka No. 5 on the Nagpur-Bhandara road on Friday morning. Quick action by the driver ensured no casualties.
The Fire and Emergency Department received a fire call at around 7:52 am, following which a fire tender from Kalamna Fire Station was rushed to the spot. Firefighters managed to douse the flames within minutes, preventing further damage.


While goods worth ?5 lakh were lost in the fire, officials successfully saved materials worth ?10 lakh. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
