International Women’s Day Marked with a Special Health Initiative in Raipur
Accessible Healthcare for All: SMHHCRC Launches Specialty Clinics at Just Rs. 20!
Shalinitai Meghe Homeopathic Hospital & College, Wanadongri, Nagpur, affiliated with Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education & Research (DMIHER) (Deemed to be University), successfully organized a Women’s Health Check-up Camp on March 8, 2025, at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan, Raipur. The initiative, held in collaboration with Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board Group Office 2, was a special effort to commemorate International Women’s Day.
The event was honored by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Ms. Sheetaltai Moon and Ms. Dipawalitai Kohad, whose support underscored the importance of women’s healthcare and overall well-being.
A dedicated medical team from Shalinitai Meghe Homeopathic Hospital provided expert consultations and treatments. The team comprised Dr. Vinod Khavase, Dr. Amruta Kshirsagar, Dr. Nayan Durbale, and Ms. Shweta Savarkar, who worked diligently to extend healthcare services to the women attending the camp.
During the check-up, women were screened for various health conditions, including kidney stones, piles, skin diseases, pimples, blood pressure issues, diabetes, sickle cell anemia, thyroid disorders, beauty and hair concerns, weight management, arthritis, pediatric illnesses, and gynecological issues. The doctors offered personalized counseling and homeopathic treatment tailored to each patient’s needs.
A total of 70 women benefited from this initiative, receiving essential medical care and guidance on maintaining overall health. The camp aimed to raise awareness about preventive healthcare and highlight the benefits of homeopathy in managing common health conditions among women.
The success of the event was made possible through the active involvement of Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board Group Office 2. Special contributions were made by Mr. Sachin Rodge, Hingna Center Coordinator, and Mr. Darshan Somkuvar, Jaytala Center Coordinator, along with dedicated social workers Mr. Sharad Patil, Ms. Vaishali Korde, Ms. Vrikshvanti Varkhade, and Ms. Rishita Ivnate. Their collective efforts ensured the smooth execution of the health camp.
Dr. Prashant Bharbat, Principal of SMHHCRC, highlighted that Shalinitai Meghe Homeopathy Hospital & College has initiated dedicated specialty clinics run by renowned homeopathic faculty members throughout the week in Wanadongri. These clinics charge only Rs. 20/- per consultation, making quality healthcare accessible to the underprivileged population in the region.
The specialty clinics operate as follows: On Mondays, Dr. Shifali Bhoyar provides consultations for dermatology; on Tuesdays, Dr. Sachi Bagde specializes in gynecology and infertility; on Wednesdays, Dr. Aadil Chimthanawala addresses cardiology and obesity; on Thursdays, Dr. Priyanka Shende focuses on psychiatry and psychology; on Fridays, Dr. Namrata Khajanchi handles neurology, cancer, and neurodevelopmental disorders; and on Saturdays, Dr. Ritesh Mankar specializes in endocrinology.
Dr. Anup Marar, Director Off Campus, DMIHER, reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to community health and the importance of accessible medical services for women. He commended the dedicated efforts of the SMHHCRC team and extended his gratitude to all contributors and participants for making the event a resounding success.
