Vidarbha continued to reel under severe heatwave conditions on April 25, 2025, with several districts recording temperatures above 44°C. Brahmapuri was the hottest in the region at a blistering 45.5°C, followed closely by Chandrapur (45.4°C) and Akola (45.1°C). Other major cities like Amravati (44.6°C), Yavatmal (44.4°C), Wardha (44.1°C), and Nagpur (44.0°C) also faced sweltering heat.
Districts such as Washim (43.4°C), Gadchiroli (43.2°C), Gondia and Bhandara (both at 42.6°C), and Buldana (40.6°C) weren’t spared either.
Authorities have issued advisories urging people to avoid outdoor activities during peak hours and stay hydrated. With no immediate respite in sight, residents are bracing for more scorching days ahead.
