A businesswoman has lodged a complaint against a Shiv Sena office bearer from Nagpur and a liaison officer, accusing them of molestation and defrauding her of ₹1.5 crore. As per a local daily report, the accused, Mangesh Vijay Kashikar, is currently reported to be absconding.
According to the complainant, she met Kashikar, a resident of Shankar Nagar, through a mutual acquaintance around two and a half years ago. Kashikar, who was operating a restaurant at Bajaj Nagar Square, allegedly proposed a business arrangement where the woman would receive a 10 percent commission. Without any formal written agreement, the woman agreed to the proposal and took a loan of ₹1.5 crore to renovate the restaurant.
When the victim confronted Kashikar, he dismissed the issue and responded evasively.
It was later discovered that the property was never in Kashikar’s name, but belonged to someone else. Despite this, the woman continued sharing the profits for several more months. Tensions escalated when Kashikar reportedly demanded a larger share and threatened to close down the restaurant.
The complainant has accused Kashikar of threatening to harm her and her family, claiming he could use his political connections to falsely implicate her in a crime. She also reported that Kashikar made inappropriate physical contact, which caused her significant distress.
Eventually, the woman went to the police and filed a complaint. As a result, a case has been registered against Kashikar for molestation and cheating. Authorities are actively searching for him to make an arrest.
