In a deeply emotional appeal, Kumari Chandrakanta Jethani, a disabled government school teacher from Indore, has requested President Droupadi Murmu to allow her to undergo euthanasia. Confined to a wheelchair and grappling with intense physical suffering, Jethani continues to teach for nearly 8 hours a day, despite her worsening health.
Jethani blames her condition on incorrect medication administered during a hospital visit, after which she was moved to an ashram where she allegedly endured additional mistreatment. Despite her struggles, she has shown exceptional generosity—donating her property to government school children and pledging her body and organs to MGM Medical College.
With no substantial aid from authorities, she claims her body is failing and that life has become unbearable. Highlighting systemic neglect and a lack of institutional support, she has urged the President to permit her to end her life with dignity.
