The VIA Agro Rural & Food Processing Forum, under the aegis of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA), is set to organize a district-level workshop on “Prospects of Coconut Farming & Processing” on 31st July 2025 (Thursday) at the VIA Auditorium, Nagpur, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
This significant event is being conducted with the support of the *Coconut Development Board, Government of India*, and aims to raise awareness and build capacity among farmers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders in the region about the immense potential of coconut cultivation and its value-added processing.
Dr. B. Hanumanthe Gowda, Chief Coconut Development Officer, Coconut Development Board, Govt. of India, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Mr. B. Chinnaraj, Deputy Director of the Board, will address the gathering as the Eminent Speaker.
The workshop is expected to cover various aspects of coconut farming, post-harvest technologies, product diversification, and marketing opportunities, helping promote sustainable rural development and agribusiness in the Vidarbha region.
Mr. Kapil Sahoo is the Project Director for the initiative. The VIA leadership comprising Mr. Prashant Mohota (President),Mr. Kaushal Mohta (Hon. Secretary), Mr. R. B. Goenka (Mentor), Mr. Om Jajodia (Chairman, Agro Forum), and Ms. Shachi Mallick (Convener) is actively supporting the event.
