Loose soil from ongoing metro construction work has turned into a major hazard for commuters on Kamptee Road, leading to multiple accidents. The incident occurred near a car showroom on Kamptee Road, where more than 15 two-wheeler riders slipped and fell due to the soil spread across the road.
The metro rail project’s digging work for pillars has left behind soil and debris, making the road extremely slippery. Many two-wheeler riders sustained minor injuries, while some suffered severe bruises and scrapes.
Public Outrage: Residents expressed anger over the negligence, blaming metro contractors for failing to ensure road safety. Locals said that despite repeated complaints, no warning signs were installed, and the soil was not cleared, resulting in multiple accidents.
Citizens are demanding immediate action from the metro authorities to remove the soil and implement proper safety measures to prevent further mishaps.
