A 21-year-old student of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay was found dead in a suspected case of suicide on the campus on Saturday. The deceased, identified as Rohit, was a fourth-year student from the Metallurgical Sciences department and a native of Delhi.
Following the incident, Powai Police have registered an accidental death report and sent the body for post-mortem to a government hospital. Authorities confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the scene.
Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
