In another Operation Shakti action on the same day, the Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Crime Branch, Nagpur City, busted a prostitution racket operating from a farmhouse in Aajani village, New Kamptee.
The raid was conducted on August 1, 2025, between 3:55 PM and 9:30 PM at Dwell Stays Cocktail Camel Farm House under the jurisdiction of New Kamptee Police Station. Police arrested Lata Vijay Belekar (65) and Ishan Prakash Bhoyar (21), both residents of New Kamptee, while another accused, Amol Vijay Manavatkar, escaped and is currently absconding.
The operation led to the rescue of two women victims. Police seized items worth ?15,433, including ?1,500 cash, three mobile phones (Techno, Vivo, and Lava), a visitor register, and two packets of condoms. The accused had allegedly been luring women with false promises of easy money before forcing them into prostitution.
A case has been registered based on the complaint of HC Kishor Thakre from the SSB, under Sections 143(2)(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
