NAGPUR: The Film, Television and Theatre Society of Central India is all set to host the Central India International Film Festival for Children and Youth 2025 in the city from November 14 to 16. The three-day event will showcase a diverse selection of films, aiming to inspire and engage young audiences across the region.
The festival will feature entries across multiple categories, including international feature films, short films, documentaries, children’s films, amateur films by emerging filmmakers, women-centric stories, mobile-shot films, music videos, and reels.
To encourage local participation, special competitions have been planned for school and college students from Nagpur and the wider Vidarbha region. In the lead-up to the event, the organisers are also conducting filmmaking workshopsfor interested students, which are being arranged with prior approval from their educational institutions.
Film submissions officially opened on August 1, and participants can send in their entries offline, via email, or through the festival’s official website.
In a bid to honour local talent, the festival will also present a special ‘Vidarbha Filmmaker Award’, aimed at recognising and promoting outstanding contributions from regional filmmakers.
