The Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) public transport service ‘Aapli Bus’ has achieved another significant milestone, recording over 1.60 lakh passengers in a single day. This remarkable achievement reflects the growing trust and reliance of citizens on the city’s public transport system. By the end of this year, NMC plans to introduce 145 new electric buses, taking the total e-bus fleet to 415.
Under the leadership of Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary and Additional Commissioner Smt. Vasumana Pant, the Aapli Bus service has consistently improved. Upgrades made in recent years, especially the addition of air-conditioned buses, have led to a notable increase in ridership.
Speaking on the achievement, Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary expressed his gratitude to the people of Nagpur, stating: “Citizens have placed their trust in Aapli Bus. The NMC remains committed to ensuring safe and convenient transportation. Together, we aim to build a greener, smarter, and more accessible future.”
