Nagpur witnessed yet another shocking incident of stray dog menace on Saturday, when a group of around 8–10 stray dogs suddenly attacked a 5-year-old girl in Deshpande Layout, Trimurti Nagar. The child sustained injuries to her face and body, leaving the community outraged over the recurring attacks.

Residents allege that such incidents are happening frequently, yet the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) remains inactive. “If we are not safe in our own city, who will take responsibility?” questioned locals, demanding immediate action from both the administration and the government.
Citizens also raised concerns over the unchecked feeding of stray dogs in public areas, which leads to them gathering in large groups and attacking passersby. Locals demanded strict verification of licenses for pet dogs and urgent measures to control the growing stray dog population in the city.
