Nagpur Police Officers Honoured with President’s Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and Special Service Medal

Nagpur: In recognition of exemplary service, dedication, and outstanding contributions, a total of eight officers and personnel from the Nagpur City Police have been selected for prestigious honours including the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, Meritorious Service Medal (MSM), and Special Service Medal (Maharashtra). These awards add another feather to the cap of Nagpur Police, reflecting their commitment to public service and professional excellence.

2. Shri Narendra Hivare, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ajni Division — Meritorious Service Medal (MSM)
3. Shri Rajesh Tatkare, Senior Police Inspector, Wadi Police Station — Special Service Medal (Maharashtra)
4. PSI Anil Brahmankar, Economic Offences Wing — Meritorious Service Medal (MSM)
5. WPC Vaishali Kukde, Cyber Police Station — Special Service Medal (Maharashtra)

Significance of the Awards:

President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM): Awarded to officers and personnel demonstrating exceptional loyalty, integrity, and professional excellence over an extended period of service.

Meritorious Service Medal (MSM): Conferred upon individuals who consistently deliver outstanding performance, uphold public trust, and make notable contributions to the police force’s reputation.

Special Service Medal (Maharashtra): Bestowed by the State Government for exceptional work in special missions, disaster response, law-and-order operations, and acts of service that go beyond the call of duty to protect life and property.
