Nagpur: In a joint late-night operation, Nagpur Crime Branch officials raided Shivshakti Bar in the Kalamna area and exposed an illegal dance bar operating under the guise of a regular establishment. The raid, carried out between Wednesday night and early Thursday, led to the rescue of three women, including one from West Bengal.
Police detained the prime accused, Pappu Yadav, along with his son Deep Yadav, who were allegedly running the illicit business. The women have been shifted to a safe shelter, while authorities continue to gather evidence about the illegal activities at the bar.
Officials said the operation was based on a specific tip-off and forms part of the Crime Branch’s ongoing drive against illegal bars and human trafficking in Nagpur. A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.
