A major incident occurred near Nagpur’s City Airport when a drunk driver, reportedly driving an electric car, rammed into a parked vehicle late on Thursday night.
The parked car belongs to Deepak Khirwadkar, former Director of the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC). Fortunately, Khirwadkar is currently in London and was not present at the time of the mishap.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the out-of-control electric car also crashed into the airport’s security wall, damaging property. Local authorities and airport security rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
Police have confirmed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and further investigation is underway.
