After the successful launch of the Gondia–Hyderabad–Tirupati passenger flight service from Birsi Airport, a new Gondia–Indore route is set to commence from September 16, offering enhanced connectivity for passengers from Gondia and nearby regions of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The international-standard Birsi Airport, located in Gondia tehsil, began passenger flight operations last year. IndiGo Airlines had introduced the Gondia–Hyderabad–Tirupati service, which has received a strong response, with 70 to 80 passengers traveling daily. Currently, flights on this route operate twice a week.
Now, Star Air will operate the new Gondia–Indore service three times a week — on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. According to the schedule, flights will depart Gondia at 5:00 pm and reach Indore at 5:55 pm. The return flight will depart Indore at 6:25 pm and arrive in Gondia by 7:20 pm.
The addition of this route is expected to provide a major boost to regional connectivity, benefiting both business and leisure travelers in the region.
