The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced the schedule for CAP Round-I admissions to the four-year full-time Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programmes for the 2026-27 academic year.A total of 1,324 candidates have completed application verification and confirmation and are eligible to participate in the admission process.
The total intake for BFA courses across Maharashtra is 838 seats.CAP Round-I option form filling and confirmation will be held from July 24 to July 27 through the candidates’ login. The category-wise seat matrix was released on July 24, while the provisional allotment list will be declared after 5.30 pm on July 29.
Candidates allotted seats must accept them online between July 30 and August 3 (up to 4 pm) and report to the allotted institute with the required documents and admission fees by 5 pm on August 3, excluding August 1 and 2.
The admission process covers BFA programmes in Painting, Sculpture, Textile Design, Ceramics, Interior Design, Metal Work, and Applied Art.
The registration process, which began on July 7, was extended from July 14 to July 19. By the end of the extended deadline, 1,324 applications were confirmed, compared to 1,415 registrations in the previous academic year.
CAP Round-II option form submission will take place from August 5 to August 8, followed by a Mop-up Round from August 15 to August 19, subject to vacant seats. Institute-level admissions for remaining vacancies will be conducted between August 24 and August 28, with the entire admission process concluding on August 29.
