The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked all affiliated schools to encourage teachers and other stakeholders to participate in a five-day online training programme, ‘NEP 2020: Empowering Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs)’, organised by the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT, from July 27 to 31.
The programme marks the sixth anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aims to enhance understanding of the educational needs of socio-economically disadvantaged groups while promoting equitable and inclusive education.
Daily live sessions will be held from 12.45 pm to 1.45 pm, covering topics such as Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), Gender Inclusion Fund, Special Education Zones, inclusive teaching practices, technology-enabled learning, and institutional support for inclusive education.
The sessions will be conducted in Hindi and English with Indian Sign Language (ISL) support to improve accessibility.
Participants can join through PM eVidya DTH ISL Channel 31, the NCERT Official YouTube Channel, the NCERT Events YouTube Channel, and the PM eVidya mobile app. No separate meeting link will be provided.
NCERT will award e-certificates to registered participants who score at least 70% in the online quiz conducted after the programme.
CBSE has urged school principals and heads to widely share the information and encourage maximum participation in the initiative.
