A major case has been registered against land mafia Dilip Gwalbanshi and his associates for allegedly grabbing land belonging to a Kotewadhi family by using dummy persons and forged documents. Ganeshpeth Police Station has filed an FIR against Gwalbanshi and six others under multiple sections.
According to reports, the accused include Dilip Shivad Gwalbanshi (resident of Makardhokda, Katalebari), Kaazi Nisamuddin alias Niyazuddin (resident of Gittikhadan), Khalid alias Sameer Ahmed Ansari (resident of Zakhira), Pramila Gayakwad, Dinesh Shankar Jadhav (resident of Indraprastha Nagar, Jaripatka), and another accused identified as Shubham Gajbhiye. The case has been registered after 11 years of fraudulent possession of the land.
Background of the Case
Pramila Gayakwad lodged the complaint, stating that the disputed land measuring 6.72 acres at Mouza Gorewada originally belonged to her late brother Shankar Jadhav, who passed away in 2005. After his death, the land was supposed to be inherited by his siblings, including Pramila and their mother. However, in 2017, they discovered that the land had been fraudulently transferred into the name of Dilip Gwalbanshi.
On further inquiry, it was revealed that Pramila’s brother Dinesh Jadhav had executed a fake sale deed without obtaining any NOC and fraudulently sold the land in the name of Mohammad Imran Mohammad Badruddin Khan. Later, in 2003, a portion of this land was transferred in the name of Dilip Gwalbanshi’s firm, Surge Four Outsourcing Pvt. Ltd. The accused allegedly used the name of Ravindra Tidke to create false documents, posing him as the heir of Pramila’s late brother. The sale deed was then registered in 2004 at the Kotwalnagar Sub-Registrar’s office.
Following Pramila’s formal complaint, police registered a case against all the accused for land grabbing and document forgery.
