A group of 25 tourists from Nagpur who had gone on a Nepal tour are currently stranded due to rising tensions in Kathmandu, which has disrupted their return journey. For the past two days, they have been stuck in hotels, unable to fly back to India.
Out of the 25 tourists, 23 are senior citizens, which has caused great concern for their families back home. The group was supposed to return via Kathmandu to Delhi on September 8, and from there to Nagpur on September 9. However, due to disturbances in Kathmandu, all flights were canceled, leaving the travelers stranded.
The group consists of 12 women and 13 men, most of them elderly. Extended stay in hotels is proving extremely difficult, as the elderly are facing health issues due to stress and uncertainty. Their families in Nagpur have expressed deep concern, urging the government and officials to intervene immediately and ensure their safe return.
The tourists were expected to leave Kathmandu for Delhi on September 10, but flights were again canceled due to the tense situation. As a result, the Nagpur group continues to remain stranded in Nepal, anxiously awaiting safe passage back home.
