After C. P. Radhakrishnan’s election as the Vice President of India, he has been relieved of his duties as Governor of Maharashtra.
In an official order issued on Wednesday, the President appointed Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat to take on the additional responsibility of Maharashtra’s Governor, alongside his existing charge in Gujarat. The arrangement will remain in force until a new Governor for Maharashtra is appointed.
