Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur will hold its 23rd Convocation on Monday, September 15, 2025, coinciding with Engineers’ Day, celebrated to honour the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya.
Dr. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, will be the Chief Guest. He previously served as Director of IIT Kanpur and Professor at IIT Bombay. Chairman, Board of Governors, Shri Madabhushi Madan Gopal (IAS, 1984 batch), Director Prof. Prem Lal Patel, and Dean (Academic) Prof. Vilas Kalamkar will also grace the ceremony.
A total of 1,227 degrees will be awarded, including 70 PhDs, 271 M.Tech, 1 M.Tech (by research), 63 MSc, 763 B.Tech, and 59 B.Arch degrees. Students and research scholars will also be honored with medals and awards for academic excellence.

VNIT also celebrated its distinguished alumnus Prof. Rohit Srivastava, recipient of the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar (Vigyan Shri), and released a book on hybrid nanofluids published by Elsevier.
