The Vidarbha Taxpayers Association (VTA) successfully held its 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Hotel Tuli Imperial, Nagpur. During the AGM, elections for the Executive Body for the year 2025-27 were conducted. The existing team of office bearers was unanimously continued, reflecting the members’ appreciation of their dedicated service. At the same time, the organizational structure was expanded with the creation of two new posts – Vice President and Joint Secretary – to further strengthen the association’s functioning and outreach.
The new team of VTA for the year 2025-27 being, Shrawan Kumar Malu – President, Tejinder Singh Renu – Secretary, Hemant Trivedi, Krishna Dayma & Ashwin Mehadia- Vice Presidents, Pawan K Chopra – Treasurer, Amarjeet Singh Chawla, Rajwantpal (Goldy) Singh Tuli & CA Hemant Sarda – Joint Secretaries, Rajesh Kanoongo – Public Relation Officer (PRO), while J P Sharma will continue as IPP. Executive Body Members being Yogendra Mohan Singh, Rohit Agrawal, Pravin M. Agrawal, Adv. Sanjay K. Agrawal, Saqib Parekh, Adv. Manoj Moryani, Govind Patel, Viru Balani, Sharad Sonkule, Harishkumar Soni, Hemant Sharma, Shrikant Oke, Harmanjeet Singh Baweja, Pratish Gujarathi, Narinderpal Singh (Vicky) Osan, CA Sandeep Agrawal & Sanjiv Puthran.
Audited Accounts of VTA for the year ended 31st March 2025 were adopted and passed. CA Akhil R Darda was appointed as the statutory auditors for the year 2025-26.
Shrawan Kumar Malu in his presidential address said it’s a proud moment for Indians as we are a rapidly growing economy and with recent amendments in GST rates it will directly benefit households and boost consumer confidence. It will also help in checking inflationary pressures.
VTA felicitated Founder President J. P. Sharma on his Diamond Jubilee year and in recognition of his invaluable contribution in laying a strong foundation for the Association with remarkable foresight and dedication. Also felicitated members were Rajwantpal Singh Tuli, Pratish Gujarathi, CA Sandeep Agrawal, Gaurang Dayma & Aditya Loya. Other VTA members who attended AGM were Umesh Patel, Sajid Parekh, Yash Trivedi, Aditya Loya, Gaurang Dayma, Ishmeet Singh Chawla.
The meeting witnessed lively and interactive sessions, where members discussed a wide range of issues of both national significance and local public interest. The AGM concluded with a resolve to continue VTA’s mission of working in the larger interest of society, promoting transparency, accountability, and fairness in public policy. Proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Tejinder Singh Renu and vote of thanks was proposed by Pawan K. Chopra.
