Nagpur: A 24-year-old woman professor has filed a complaint against Anshul Deepak, a resident of the Jaripatka area near Ginger Mall, accusing him of sexually assaulting her for nearly two years under the pretext of marriage and a high-paying job.
According to police, the survivor, who previously worked as an executive manager at a two-wheeler showroom between 2018 and 2020, came in contact with the accused through a mutual friend. She alleged that Deepak lured her with promises of career opportunities and marriage, and took her to a hotel near LIC Chowk, where he repeatedly exploited her.
The woman stated that when she insisted on marriage, the accused refused and absconded.
Sadar police have registered a case of rape against Anshul Deepak and initiated a manhunt to trace him.
