Central Railway’s Nagpur Division organized a “Swachhata Walkathon” on the third day of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva – 2025 campaign to promote cleanliness, healthy living, and community awareness. The event was flagged off at 08:30 hrs by Shri Vinayak Garg, Divisional Railway Manager, Nagpur, from Satpuda Officer Club.
The walkathon route covered Satpuda Officer Club – Railway Officer Colony – Ladies Club Square – and concluded back at Satpuda Club. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from Branch Officers, Railway Scouts & Guides, Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, Accident Relief Medical Equipment (ARME) staff, and various office staff.
Participants actively walked through the designated route carrying the message of “Swachhata Hi Seva” and encouraged citizens along the way to adopt hygienic practices and maintain a clean environment. Placards, banners, and slogans were used to spread the message of cleanliness and responsibility towards society.
The walkathon concluded successfully with wholehearted involvement of all railway units. The event not only highlighted the importance of cleanliness and sustainable living but also reinforced the commitment of Nagpur Division towards achieving the objectives of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.
