Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised little Varada Timande, a Four year-old girl, for her remarkable act of kindness. Varada had been saving money for Diwali, but instead of spending it, she chose to donate the entire amount to help people affected by heavy rains.
The young girl personally handed over her contribution to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in the presence of Devendra Fadnavis. On the occasion, Fadnavis presented her with a token of appreciation — a copy of Dasara’s “Soneri” (golden) sweets — symbolizing blessings and goodwill.
Fadnavis lauded Varada’s compassion and sense of social responsibility, calling her gesture truly commendable.
He wrote, “Salute to this little donor Varada, who has set an example of humanity and generosity at such a young age.”
