Alliance Air’s scheduled flights between Mumbai and Amravati were cancelled on Friday due to operational issues. The airline’s Amravati head, Rajkumar Patel, confirmed the cancellation, stating that the incoming Mumbai flight could not operate, which consequently led to the cancellation of the return journey as well.
According to Patel, all 54 passengers were informed about the cancellation at around 10 a.m. on Friday. Passengers have been offered an alternative flight scheduled for Monday.
Alliance Air has frequently cited operational problems for such cancellations, causing frustration among regular travelers. The airline, however, announced that it will resume its Sunday flights with a new schedule starting October 26.
Friday’s cancellation was reportedly triggered by the disruption of a Hyderabad–Mumbai flight, which was supposed to continue to Amravati. For the upcoming Monday flight, the airline confirmed that sufficient seats are available.
Currently, Amravati–Mumbai flights operate three days a week — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
