The auspicious festival of Vijayadashami was celebrated with great enthusiasm at NIT Ground, Birsa Dighori, Nagpur, where a grand Ravan Dahan program was organized by Navchaitanya Yuva Mandal. This marked the fourth consecutive year of the celebration at this venue.
Every year, more than 5,000 people gather to witness the event, and this year a towering 51-foot effigy of Ravan was built and set aflame, symbolizing the victory of truth over evil as per the tradition of Lord Shri Ram’s triumph.
The event was conducted under the leadership of Gaurav Pathak, program coordinator and key member of Navchaitanya Yuva Mandal. Anand Belurkar (President), Amit Sakharkar, Gaurav Pathak, and Sanket Sakharkar were actively involved in organizing the festivities.
The occasion was graced by chief guests Swapnil Salunke, Roshan Sontakke, and Kiran Datir, along with members of Shri Ram Pratishthan Group.
The vibrant celebration witnessed huge participation from residents of South Nagpur, who came together to mark Vijayadashami with devotion, enthusiasm, and festive spirit.
