There is relief for citizens as the long-pending project of the flyover connecting Radisson Hotel to Manish Nagar has finally received approval along with necessary corrections. According to reports, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had instructed in October 2024 to begin the tender process for this important project aimed at reducing traffic congestion in the Manish Nagar and Airport area.
During the technical evaluation, certain design and alignment corrections were suggested by the concerned authorities, which have now been incorporated. After these modifications, the project has been granted final approval.
As per officials, the cost of the project has reached ₹124 crore. The elevated road will start near Radisson Hotel and extend up to Manish Nagar, easing heavy traffic on the main road and improving connectivity between South Nagpur and the Airport area. The flyover will also facilitate smoother traffic movement toward Beltarodi, Besa, and Mhalgi Nagar zones.
The project’s technical and administrative approvals have been completed, and tendering work is expected to commence soon. Once completed, the flyover will provide significant relief to commuters who face daily congestion at the Airport T-point and Manish Nagar railway crossing.
