Face Marks Raise Murder Speculation, Cops Suspect Heart Attack
A 55-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Ronapti Nagar, Wathoda, on Friday morning, sparking widespread speculation over the cause of her death. The deceased has been identified as Sunita Madhukar Bhoyar, a resident of Plot No. 26, Ronapti Nagar, Nagpur.
According to police, Sunita lived with her son Akash Madhukar Bhoyar (38) and daughter-in-law. On October 7, Akash and his wife had travelled to Mumbai for a vacation, leaving Sunita alone at home. Upon their return around 7.25 am on October 10, they found the main door locked from inside. Akash entered through the back door and was shocked to find his mother lying on the bed, her face covered and bearing visible scratch marks.
While the facial injuries initially raised suspicion of murder, police sources said that, prima facie, doctors have identified cardiac arrest as the likely cause of death. The body was sent for post-mortem, and an Accidental Death (AD) case has been registered at Wathoda Police Station.
Further investigation into the case are underway to confirm the exact cause of death.
