Nagpur : In the backdrop of Diwali, the State Handloom Expo “Hathkargha 2025” organized by Maharashtra State Handloom Corporation, Nagpur, in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, New Delhi is receiving a positive response. The exhibition is being organized from October 6 – 19, 2025 at Kusumtai Wankhede Bhavan, Dharampeth.
Handloom Weaver Co-operative Societies from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh have participated in this exhibition.
A wide range of handloom fabrics, sarees, dress materials and home goods in traditional as well as modern designs are available to the customers here. The main objective of this handloom exhibition is to provide a market for handloom products, bring the artwork of rural weavers directly to the consumers and provide information about new designs to the consumers & weavers.
The exhibition will be open to customers from 11.00 am to 9.00 pm every day and entry is free. The exhibition is receiving an enthusiastic response from Nagpur residents.
The main objectives of this exhibition are
*Providing a market for handloom produced textiles.
*To deliver the products of rural weavers directly to consumers.
*Introducing distinctive designs in the handloom sector.
*Testing new designs and their marketability.
