Nagpur: Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has approved a series of academic revisions across several faculties, paving the way for updated syllabi and examination formats from the 2025-26 academic session. The decision was formalized following the latest meeting of the Academic Council, and a notification to this effect was issued on October 18, 2025, after approval by the acting Vice-Chancellor.
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, minor modifications have been made to the Marathi AEC paper for the third semester of the B.Sc. in Language Science. The section ‘Kiti Tari Divasat’ by Bal Sitaram Mardhekar has been dropped and replaced with ‘Majhya Mana Ban Dagad’ by Vinda Karandikar.
Significant updates have also been implemented in the Cosmetic Technology curriculum, covering multiple components such as DSC, SEC, AEC, VSC, IKS, Minor Basket, and Exit Options — applicable from the first to fourth semesters.
In the Fashion and Design faculty, revisions have been approved for BFD, BTS, MFD, and MTD courses, including changes to assessment and examination schemes to ensure alignment with evolving academic and industry standards.
The Faculty of Law has seen comprehensive restructuring as well. Revised syllabi and exam patterns have been sanctioned for the PG Diploma programmes in Banking Law, Cyber Law, Labour and Industrial Law, and Taxation Law. Additionally, minor amendments have been made to Labour Law I and II in the LLB (3-year) course, and curriculum enhancements have been introduced for the seventh and eighth semesters of the BA LLB (5-year) programme. Further updates have also been made to LLM Group F.
RTMNU has directed all faculties, deans, and departments to implement these changes promptly. The updated syllabi and course structures have been uploaded and are now available on the university’s official website.
