Musical Diwali Pahat program by Ashadeep Divya Gunjan group of Apanga, Mahila-Bal Vikas Sanstha, was presented at the premises of the Ganesh Temple in Naik Nelco Society, with the cooperation of the Naik Nelco Society Citizens’ Committee.
The event began with a Ganesh Vandana, followed by performances of *Bhoopali Diwali songs, Gondhal, Bhajans, Qawwali, and other musical genres. Adding to the beauty of the morning, the singers also presented a bouquet of melodious old and new Hindi-Marathi songs expressing various human emotions.

A special feature of the program was that all the singers and instrumentalists were differently abled artists. The singers — Saurabh Borekar, Mohammad Ziauddin, Shilpa (Nagrare) Komalkar, Surekha Bawiskar, Manisha Yerame, and Ajay Lingalwar — were accompanied by visually impaired musicians: Yugal Sonawane (Keyboard), Shashi Parmar (Octopad), Kishor Yerame (Tabla), and Shivprasad (Dholak).
Veena Mohadikar conducted the event gracefully, introducing each artist with warmth and clarity. Dr. Pratima Shastri extended her gratitude to the organizers and the audience for their encouragement, and requested their continued guidance and support for the artists’ future journey. The program concluded with Ashadeep’s inspiring theme song Aamhi Pudhe Pudhe Janar, symbolizing the determination and spirit of the differently abled performers.
On behalf of the Nelco Society Citizens’ Committee, Mr. Vijay Naik welcomed the artists. Mr. Narsapurkar distributed Diwali Faral(traditional festive snacks) packets to all participants, and with warm wishes for the continued progress of the Ashadeep team, the event came to a close.
