New Delhi: In a bid to attract new customers this festive season, state-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has unveiled a special “Diwali Bonanza” plan offering 4G services for an entire month at just Re 1. The limited-period offer, valid from October 15 to November 15, 2025, aims to boost subscriber additions amid growing competition from private telecom players.
Under the scheme, new users completing KYC formalities will receive a free SIM card and enjoy unlimited voice calls, 2 GB of high-speed data per day, and 100 SMS per day for 30 days. After the one-month validity, customers can continue services by opting for a paid BSNL plan.
The company stated that the initiative is part of its broader customer acquisition drive, following recent gains in both urban and rural markets. “We’re confident that customers will experience our network’s improved quality and choose to stay with BSNL,” said A. Robert J. Ravi, CMD, BSNL.
Alongside the Re 1 offer, BSNL has also introduced other festive plans, including a ₹1,812 annual plan for senior citizens offering 2 GB data per day, unlimited calling, one-year validity, and six months of complimentary BiT V Premium subscription. Additionally, the telecom major has rolled out a “Gift a Recharge” offer, allowing customers to recharge friends and family accounts at a 2.5% discount, along with corporate plans for businesses opting for multiple post-paid or FTTH connections.
With Diwali celebrations underway, the attractive offer is expected to draw heavy footfall at BSNL’s retail outlets and service centers. The “Diwali Bonanza Re 1” plan will remain open for new activations until November 15, 2025.
