The Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) ‘Aapli Bus’ division held a felicitation ceremony to honour conductors who have shown exceptional dedication in passenger service. Additional Commissioner Vasumana Pant presented mementos to 18 conductors from various depots who delivered outstanding performance in September.
The event celebrated the commitment, discipline, and professionalism of conductors who play a crucial role in providing the city with safe, reliable, and passenger-friendly bus services. Their contribution ensures that thousands of Nagpurians travel smoothly and securely every day.
Among those honoured were Archana Gore and Sujal Mokhare from Patwardhan Depot, Jyoti Rajesh Kamde and Ishwar Tohne from Khapri Depot, Rajkumar Sahare and Shubham Panchbhai from Wadi Depot, Ranu Shende and Nilesh Shenbekar from Wathoda Depot, and Shrikrishna Gajbhiye and Bobby Khairkar from Hingna Depot.
Speaking on the occasion, officials praised the conductors’ role as the frontline face of NMC’s public transport, emphasizing that their dedication keeps the city’s lifeline running efficiently.
Also present were Transport Manager Rajesh Bhagat, Administrative Officer Yogesh Lunge, and Ajay Kumar, City Head of Chalo Mobility Pvt. Ltd.
The event reflected NMC’s continued efforts to recognise those who make public transport in Nagpur not just functional, but dependable.
