Nagpur: The city is gearing up to host its inaugural Nagpur Golf League (NGL) — a first-of-its-kind competitive golf event aimed at fostering the sport’s culture and enthusiasm among local players. The tournament will be held at the Nagpur Golf Course from November 1 to November 23, 2025, featuring four teams and a total of 60 golfers.
The league is being organised under the leadership of Lav Bajaj, Tushar Khurana, Manuj Singh, and Aditya Sarda, who have envisioned NGL as a platform to bring structured, high-level golf competition to Nagpur.
The participating teams include:
- Stingers (owned by Lav Bajaj and Aditya Sarda; Captain – Moin Malak)
- Fairway Falcons (owned by Tushar Khurana and Manuj Singh)
- RJ Pinseekers (owned by Jigar Deshmukh, Raju Sharma, and Anuj Singh)
- Samavi Squad (owned by Hem Thakkar and Swapnil Munde)
Each team will field 15 members, competing in match play under the green-somes format. All teams will face each other in the league stage, culminating in the grand finale on November 23.
Organisers said the event aims not only to showcase sporting talent but also to build community engagement and inspire young golfers in the region.
