Nagpur: The 4th State-Level Divyang Cricket Tournament for the Namdev Dada Balgar Trophy will be held on November 1 and 2, 2025, at the KTPS Cricket Ground, Karadi, Nagpur. The event is jointly organised by the Vidarbha Divyang Cricket Association (VDCA) and the Amravati District Cricket Association.
The tournament, named after Namdevji Balgar Dada, a veteran social worker devoted to the welfare of differently-abled individuals since 1972, aims to promote inclusivity and empowerment through cricket.
A total of 100 players with disabilities from across Vidarbha will participate in the competition. Six teams representing Nagpur, Amravati, Akola, Buldhana, Yavatmal, and the Rest of Vidarbha will compete in a league format.
Based on their performance, the top 30 players will be selected for the upcoming national-level tournament, under the guidance of Baburao Yadav, former Ranji player and Chief Selector of VDCA.
VDCA office-bearers extended their best wishes to the participants, expressing hope that the tournament will inspire more differently-abled athletes and foster the spirit of sportsmanship across the region.
