Nagpur: The Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, is set to host the All India Inter-NIT Tournament from November 1 to 3, featuring competitions in handball, tennis, and yoga.
Addressing the media, VNIT Director Prof. P. L. Patel said that around 565 students from various NITs across the country, along with 300 participants from the host institute, will take part in the three-day sporting event.
The inaugural ceremony will take place at 11:30 am on November 1, with Dr. D. K. Baidya from NIT Silchar and RBI Regional Director Sachin Shende, a VNIT alumnus, as the chief guests. The event will also be attended by Associated Dean Dr. Gali Hema Chandra, Sports Head Dr. P. S. Nagrale, Dean of Student Welfare Ratnesh Kumar, and Director Prof. Prem Lal Patel.
The closing ceremony is scheduled for November 3 at 4:30 pm, where Madabhushi Madan Gopal, Chairman of the VNIT Board of Governors, will be the chief guest, and Durga Bhavani will grace the event as guest of honour.
